MULTIFAMILY
The transition as technical drafter to designer allowed me to follow through a project from its concept to construction drawings to purchasing to install and to post install, RFI's, submittals, etc.
This broadened my view of the architectural and interior design world. The goal is the same but the priorities and focuses are different.
By experiencing both sides helped me become more aware of what it takes to get a project going.

Urban Park
Working for a landscape designer under a company who's "mission is to provide young adults with a high school education combined with job training and community service" is quite a humbling experience.
The collaboration with Park & recreation and the passionate community of Chicano Park opened my eyes to the impact of a park and what it represents and what it could represent. Chicano Park is enriched with history and the love from its community shows how much a park can impact so many lives.
Barrio Logan

The goal of the Barrio Logan street improvement is to locate 10 or more areas for beautification. Trees, shrubs, cacti and gravel as the tools placed.
Rustic Road
The City of Escondido and Rustic Community Group proposal to create a community open space. The public ROW area is proposed to be landscaped with shrubs, grasses, perennials, agaves and succulents to be hand watered, bark mulched areas.

Design Build
"Woodbury School of Architecture guides students to realize their unique, personal design vision, while developing technical, theoretical and communicative skills. We empower students to build the intelligent places and beautiful things that improve neighborhoods and communities."

Taking the Reins
Taking the Reins invited architecture students from Woodbury University’s School of Architecture in Burbank to design a site plan and build a shared space for the girls and guests. The first part of the project needed a redevelopment and phase plan. The second part of the project encourages each student to design a lath house for the garden area. From all the designs, the instructor will choose a design. The students will then finalize and construct the lath house.

The New Children's Museum
" The New Children’s Museum invited third year architecture students from Woodbury University’s School of Architecture in San Diego to design and build a library space for visitors. The project was structured as an internal design competition with 29 students competing on 8 teams. For the project, two designs that included open areas with intimate reading nooks were selected. The two teams then had to work together to reformulate a final layout. The library was designed and built entirely by the students with guidance from their professors. "
